NEW NATIONAL PARKS PROJECT
Mission Statement

The New National Parks Project seeks to expand America’s National Park System through the creation of new national parks and additions to existing parks. As we approach the centennial the National Park Service in 2016, the Project is working to reinvigorate the national parks movement to achieve the designation of a new generation of national parks. Project goals are:

•    Increase public awareness of and support for new parks;
•    Organize a citizens network to connect new park advocates;
•    Support existing park campaigns and foster additional campaigns;
•    Identify potential new and expanded national parks;
•    Advocate Federal action for new parks.

The Project will build on the vast reservoir of public awareness of, and enthusiasm for parks, and mobilize the support of a broad range of constituencies to move a new parks agenda forward.
